Grants
The Beavercreek Education Foundation would like to announce its 2009 grant program in which we award an annual grant to each district building for a project that promotes academic achievement. Last year we provided grants totaling approximately $3,150. In the past, these grants have been used to finance such projects as a Rocks and Minerals Kit to supplement a 3rd grade Science and Technology for Children curriculum, purchase materials to creatively study the invention of the airplane, establish a book resource room, and to develop a hands-on environmental interpretive center. For the fourth year the Foundation is able to include the Beavercreek Preschool in its grant program. Therefore we will be awarding nine grants with a value of up to $350 each.
In order to be considered for a grant we must receive your school's written request by May 22 so that grants may be awarded at our May 28 meeting. Grants should be submitted to the school principal and then the principal is to choose one grant to be forwarded to the BEF. The request must contain information describing how the funding provided by the grant will support academic programs within your building and a breakout of the actual cost. Requests can be submitted via e-mail to grants@ beavercreekeducationfoundation .org or mailed to the Beavercreek Education Foundation, Post Office Box 340285, Beavercreek, OH 45434-0285.
