Excellence in Education Awards Banquet Honorees

Local newscaster to present Beavercreek education awards

Award-winning Dayton newswoman Marsha Bonhart will be mistress of ceremonies for the Beavercreek Education Foundation’s second Excellence in Education Awards banquet Tuesday, November 17.

Twelve Beavercreek people will be recognized in categories that include teachers, administrator, school volunteer, classified employee and citizen advocate.

The Beavercreek Education Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 1985 to encourage and enhance academic achievement at all levels throughout the Beavercreek school system. The foundation rewards accomplishments and effort displayed in the classroom by both teachers and students and provides funding to support academic programs and projects within the school system. “We have a great school district here in Beavercreek,” said Kunay, whose two children both attended Beavercreek schools from kindergarten through high school.  “It takes a huge amount of work from a lot of very dedicated people to get to that point, and this is our way to recognize them.”

The banquet will begin at 6:30pm, with a social hour at 5:30pm and awards at 7:30pm on Tuesday, November 17, at the Beavercreek Golf Course, 2800 New Germany-Trebein Road.
